This year our PE days will be Monday and Friday. PE kits should come in on a Monday and be taken home on a Friday. Additionally, children will need wellies and coats for our Friday OWL (Outdoor Woodland Learning) session.

The children should always have a water bottle in school, and a hat in warmer weather and a coat when the colder weather comes.

We also ask that all children have a reading book ‘on the go’ at all times – this can be a book from home, or from our brilliant school and class libraries. Please do encourage your child to record their daily reading in their yellow Homework Diary, and to record one more detailed response in their green Reading Journal.

Their time on TT Rockstars (3 x 10 minutes per week) helps them to work towards their ‘Go Green’ certificate – achieved when they can answer questions on all tables facts in under 4 seconds. In addition, each term we will issue a Homework Matrix which suggests a range of broader homework tasks which encourage children to think creatively, use their writing, research and maths skills, and to follow their particular interests. Some tasks will be linked to work in our current curriculum topic. Homework is given out each Friday and is due in the following Friday.
