At St John’s, our value of the fortnight forms the focus of our assemblies.

Children attend whole-school assemblies on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Key Stage 1 children have a Key Stage assembly on a Thursday and Key Stage 2 children have a Key Stage assembly on a Tuesday.

Wednesday’s assembly is a whole school Singing Assembly.

Friday’s assembly is our ‘Stars of the Week’ celebration assembly when children receive certificates and other achievements are recognised.

We also periodically invite visitors to our assemblies, including local librarians, historians, musicians and faith leaders.
