Wildlife around school

We have been digging and planting some flowers around school since ‘Love Your School Day’.

Last week we uncovered a chrysalis which was exciting. Having looked it up it’s a common moth called a large yellow underwing which pupates just under the surface of the soil and takes maybe 10-20 days to hatch.

If you find any in your garden keep them slightly covered with soil.
