Brilliant results on the Hockey pitch (even in 3 hail storms!)

There has been another success for St John’s in another county final! 10 children from Years 5 and 6 braved the weather (3 hail storms, torrential rain, hot sunshine…) to come 5th in the county! The children played incredibly well and their training with local clubs and with Emma (parent), who did some training with them at an after school club, really showed. The children didn’t let a single goal in across their 72 minutes of Hockey which is an incredible achievement and Harry, the goalie, saved some very close goal attempts remarkably well!

Match 1: Win  4-0

Match 2: 0-0 Draw

Match 3: 0-0 Draw

Match 4: 0-0 Draw

Match 5: Win 1-0

Match 6: Win 1-0

Well done to all of the children for such brilliant Hockey! Huge thanks to the parents who helped drive the children to the event and to the parents and grandparents who came to cheer them on! Huge thanks also to Howard (parent) who coached the children during the tournament, taking time off work to do this! We really are so lucky at St John’s to have such a brilliant and supportive parent community and such talented children!

5th OUT OF THE WHOLE COUNTY! AMAZING! We are all SO proud of you – well done!
